The second tip in using dog house plans is to consider the size of your dogs and the breed of the dogs. Some breeds of dogs may seem quite small when they are puppies but in fact grow to very large sizes as adult dogs. When you are building a house for such dogs, you can consult with experts such as the local vet nary doctor to give you an estimated average size of your dog as an adult. Building a dog house based on the current size may prove to be frustrating and discouraging later on. This is because the dig may outgrow its house necessitating the house to be brought down and a new one built increasing the costs even further. For other dogs also, they do not grow larger when they are adults but remain the size of small puppies. Building large houses for these dogs only wastes space and often makes them lonely.
If your dog doesn't have a specific place or dog house to call home where they can be confined some of the time, they will wander all over your house and become a problem. This is especially true if you have guests or a large family. Since they tend to move very quickly, small dogs can be in the way and in danger before you even realize it. They can even bolt out of the door and into the street before you can catch them. Because of this I firmly believe that your small dog should have their own dog house within your house. The home you designate for them doesn't have to be anything fancy or specially made.
Old English Sheepdogs are large, gentle creatures. They are non-aggressive dogs that require a lot of grooming and love. Like their other large counterparts, Old English Sheepdogs need a large outdoor play area and a nice big dog house if they are going to be spending any length of time outside. These beautiful dogs are very eager to please their owners. Newfoundlands have excellent dispositions and their calm demeanor makes them great for families with children. They are exceptionally large and require plenty of room outdoors to run and play. They should also have access to a nice dog house that suits their larger frame and a fenced-in area where they can roam safely. If you have one of these large dog breeds, or any other large dog breed, giant dog houses can help you keep your pet safe and sound while it is outdoors.
