I have to admit I am a do it yourself freak. I like to build just about everything from sheds to dog houses, to platform beds. On my latest project of building a dog house, I had to ask myself the question, should I have windows in the dog house I am building? Sheds have windows, real houses have windows, but do dog houses need windows? I started to scour the internet looking for some reliable dog house plans. I also did some research to find out why most houses for dogs don't have windows. Here is what I came up with. First off, even dogs like looking out the window when they are inside your house, most of the time, which is because they want to go outside to chase a bird or a squirrel. Or maybe they just want to go outside and sniff around. If they are in a doggy house, they can simply leave the house and enter the yard without you letting them out.
If you cannot bear to see a kennel style dog house you may want to consider wooden dog houses which can double as fancy end tables. These are perfect because your pup can crawl inside comfortably without anyone ever suspecting that it is a dog house. These can be made of hardwood and adorn the colors of cherry wood red, espresso, natural, mahogany and antique black. There is a flexible door so that they can come and go as they please and they are perfect for puppies and smaller dogs. Many of these dog houses come in a variety of sizes depending on your dog's stature. The largest dimensions for the latter type of indoor dog houses are 24 inches wide, 36 inches long and 26 inches high. Depending on your budget these indoor dog houses have a pricing range of $75 to $500.
If you have a dog that stays outside, even for a few minutes, you need to get a dog house for your pet. Small dogs are especially vulnerable to the weather, so make sure you pamper your pooches properly by buying appropriate dog houses using the following tips: Just like housing for humans, dog houses range from basic to designer, with the respective price tags attached. Again, like housing for humans, you need to take into account the basic needs of the occupant, your dog. Your dog's size and coat will help you on your search for prime pup real estate.
